The challenge

Kent and Medway wanted to ensure that all staff who required a DBS check for their roles had this on file, so if they were required to undertake COVID-19 related work, they could be rapidly deployed.

Our approach

We liaised with HR Team and pulled together a project plan to review and check, around 150 employee files, identify whether a check had been undertaken in the last three years. In case of no recent check, a full DBS check was undertaken. This included requesting ID and follow-up ID check.

The outcome

We delivered a DBS refresh/recheck project for NHS Kent and Medway with a total of 90 new DBS checks undertaken and project completed by end of June 2020
