Current policy recommendations for Kent and Medway CCG
NEL’s HPSU resources for Kent and Medway customers are available below.
Policy recommendations (PRs) are determined by the Kent and Medway Policy Recommendation and Guidance Committee (PRGC) in accordance with an ethical framework to ensure that decisions take account of all relevant factors and are fair and defensible. The PRGC is composed of primary and secondary care clinicians, pharmacists, a public health representative, CCG representatives and a lay member, from across Kent and Medway. The PRGC does not have any standing authority delegated to it by another group or body; it works on behalf of Kent and Medway CCG to determine PRs on topics prioritised by the CCG for review. Policy recommendations are only posted on this website once they have been ratified by the Kent and Medway Clinical Cabinet and have been included in the RaTC (in the case of non-pharmacological interventions).
From January 2018 PRGC recommendations no longer contain a review date as they will be reviewed as and when new information becomes available that is likely to have a material effect on the recommendation. This will be highlighted through regular horizon scanning activities. All previous review dates on PRGC recommendations made prior to January 2018 are no longer valid as they will also be reviewed as outlined above. Requests to review recommendations can also be made to firstname.lastname@example.org. Requests to review recommendations should include a supporting rationale.
